Custody Detention Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custody Detention Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of individuals in custody, maintaining order within the facility, and enforcing rules and regulations. You will monitor detainee behavior, conduct regular inspections, and respond promptly to incidents or emergencies. Additionally, you will assist in processing detainees, including intake and release procedures, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as you will interact with diverse populations, including detainees, staff, and external agencies. Experience in law enforcement, security, or a related field is preferred. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions in high-stress situations, and maintain confidentiality at all times. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional training or certification in detention or correctional practices is a plus.
