About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a welcoming primary school in the BD9 area of Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development while working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education.

The role may involve covering classes during teacher absence, delivering planned lessons, providing targeted interventions, and supporting pupils across the primary age range.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum.
• Deliver small group and one-to-one interventions to raise pupil attainment.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to support pupil outcomes.

Requirements

• HLTA qualification or significant experience in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant role.
• Experience working within a UK primary school.
• Confident leading whole-class learning when required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong behaviour management and organisational abilities.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
