When a young person faces severe disruption in their early life, entering a new care facility can feel overwhelming. They do not require someone simply overseeing a shift; they need a calm, reassuring anchor to bring structure, warmth, and stability into their everyday routine.

Randstad Care is currently expanding our core care team across Central Swansea and the Maritime Quarter. We are seeking proactive care professionals to support children dealing with emotional challenges, physical or learning disabilities, and traumatic backgrounds within specialised residential settings.

This position is an excellent fit for candidates who have worked as a Youth Worker, Support Worker, Therapeutic Support Worker, Family Support Worker, Residential Childcare Worker, or Youth Mentor.

How you will make a difference
  • Establish Trust: Connect with vulnerable young people using creative, trauma informed approaches that make them feel heard.

  • Maintain Safety: Apply proven de escalation techniques to handle emotional dysregulation or challenging behaviour with absolute composure.

  • Track Development: Write precise daily logs and incident reports that directly shape long term therapeutic plans.

What you will bring
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months paid UK care experience inside a youth, residential, or complex support setting.

  • Mindset: A patient, resilient, and non judgemental approach to supporting children with complex needs.

  • Licence: Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle to facilitate community outings and appointments.
