About the role

Support Worker
  • Location: Sketty / Uplands, Swansea (SA2 9DB)

  • Pay: £16.00 to £19.00 per hour (Weekly Pay plus Holiday Pay)

  • Job Type: Flexible Temporary and Block Bookings

The Perks
  • Market Leading Earnings: Excellent starting rates of £16.00 to £19.00 per hour to recognise your care expertise.

  • Referral Vouchers: Earn £300 in Love2Shop rewards for every worker you successfully refer to our branch bank.

  • Local Authority Reach: Direct access to upcoming block bookings across major Welsh local authority packages.

  • Rota Choice: Enjoy complete freedom to pick shift allocations that fit around your family commitments.

  • Fast Onboarding: Streamlined compliance checking to get you out on shift without unnecessary delay.

Stepping into a high needs crisis placement demands emotional strength, professional boundaries, and genuine empathy. When a child's care package breaks down, a supportive care worker who understands the distress behind challenging behavior can completely transform their experience.

We are actively recruiting experienced care specialists across the Sketty and Uplands areas. You will be stepping into specialised residential settings to deliver structured support to young people experiencing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties or autism spectrum conditions.

We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in similar positions including Support Worker, Care Assistant, Key Worker, Crisis Support Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant, or Childcare Practitioner.

How you will make a difference
  • Provide Co Regulation: Deliver consistent daily routines, meal preparations, and activities that help young people feel secure.

  • Manage Volatility: Confidently diffuse verbal or physical tension using positive behavioural support techniques.

  • Ensure Compliance: Deliver care in strict alignment with individual care plans, safeguarding guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

What you will bring
  • Proven Track Record: At least 6 months of verifiable UK experience in children's residential services or social care settings.

  • Core Attributes: High emotional resilience, strong personal boundaries, and a solid grasp of safeguarding standards.

  • Transport Status: Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport to commute easily across local Swansea hubs.
