Location: Morriston / Plasmarl, Swansea (SA6 8AG)
Pay: £16.00 to £19.00 per hour (Weekly Pay plus Holiday Pay)

Creating a life changing environment for looked after children requires more than standard care giving; it takes patience, consistency, and professional pride. In a specialised care setting, your presence can be the factor that helps a child rebuild confidence and feel safe again.
We are urgently seeking dedicated Residential Childcare Specialists across Morriston and Plasmarl to deliver care in accordance with formal Statements of Purpose and statutory care plans. You will work with children facing complex behavioural and emotional challenges.
This role would perfectly suit individuals who have previously worked as a Residential Care Worker, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Mental Health Assistant, Custody Assistant, or Family Support Worker.
How you will make a difference
Build Independent Skills: Empower children by encouraging their involvement in daily choices, personal hygiene, and group activities.
Ensure Safeguarding: Maintain the highest safety standards across the home, escalating any child welfare concerns immediately.
Document Outcomes: Maintain detailed, professional records regarding medication administration, daily routines, and behavioural tracking.
What you will bring
Background: At least 6 months of paid experience inside UK children's residential homes, social work, or supported living.
Understanding: Strong working knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices, and positive behavioural frameworks.
Driver: A valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle to safely transport young people across the local community.
