About the role

Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager
  • Location: Witney, UK (Full-Time, On-Site)
  • Contract Length: 12 Months (Initial contract with a strong view to extend or convert to permanent)
  • Salary/Rate: Up to £33,000 - 40,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager to join a leading global healthcare and medical device manufacturer at their facility in Witney. In this role, you will provide key project coordination and tracking support across three critical pillars: Quality Assurance (QA), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Validation.

This is an exceptional entry-level or junior opportunity within a matrixed global entity. Whether you are a Junior Coordinator looking to take your next step, or a structured scientific/technical professional eager to transition into full-time project management, this role offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to global standards, and a clear path for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support & Delivery: Assist Senior Project Managers in planning, tracking, and coordinating project activities across QA, Validation, and MES frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact between engineering, IT/systems, quality assurance, and laboratory teams to ensure actions stay on schedule.
  • Timeline & Resource Tracking: Maintain project plans, log milestones, track resource allocation, and help monitor budget spend against timelines.
  • Risk & Compliance Awareness: Support the team in ensuring project documentation strictly adheres to global regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, GMP). Flag early risks or bottlenecks to senior leads.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain action logs, prepare progress updates, and assist with draft presentations for local and global leadership meetings.

What We Are Looking For
  • Industry Exposure: Prior exposure to a Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or highly regulated manufacturing/laboratory environment (even in a technical, administrative, or entry-level QA capacity) is highly desirable.
  • Foundational Domain Knowledge: A basic understanding of Validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), Quality Assurance processes, or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a strong advantage.
  • Project Tooling: Familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel), project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira), or a basic understanding of methodologies like PRINCE2 or Agile.

Personal Attributes
  • Resilient & Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Communicator: Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across different technical teams.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: An analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a "can-do" attitude toward tackling project tasks.
