Accounts Assistant Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Administrator Location: TN1 Salary: £30,000–£32,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Working Pattern: Office-based Role Overview Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis at their office in the TN1 area. This is a varied role suited to someone with strong all-round experience in accounts and administration. The successful candidate will be organised, accurate and confident handling day-to-day finance and office support duties. Knowledge of QuickBooks would be an advantage, although it is not essential. Key Responsibilities Duties will include: • Processing purchase and sales invoices • Matching, checking and coding invoices • Assisting with supplier and customer account queries • Reconciling statements and accounts • Supporting credit control and chasing outstanding payments where required • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records • Assisting with payment runs and banking duties • Inputting data accurately onto accounting systems • Supporting month-end processes where required • General office administration and filing • Answering calls and emails in a professional manner • Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams • Providing wider administrative support to the business as needed Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Administrator, or similar role • Good all-round accounts and administration experience • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Good organisational and time management skills • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • A proactive and flexible approach to work • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office • QuickBooks knowledge would be desirable but is not essential Experience Candidates should be comfortable working in a varied office-based role and able to manage a mix of finance and administrative duties. Previous experience using accounting software would be beneficial. Working Hours This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Friday. Salary The salary for this role is £30,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
