About the role
Job Title: Temporary Medical Secretary
Job Location: Local to Congleton
Start Date: 03.08.2026
Contract Duration: 5 weeks
Hours of Work: 25-35 hours per week, flexible
Days of Work: Monday – Friday
Work Format: Fully office based
Hourly Rate: £12.71-13ph DOE
We are supporting our client, a local healthcare provider, with recruiting a temporary Medical Secretary for a 5-week period to provide cover for staff holidays. You will be;
- Proficient in EMIS Web clinical system
- Managing e-Referral Service (e-RS) referrals
- Using Lexacom digital dictation software
- Processing Two Week Wait urgent referrals
- Monitoring and managing clinical worklists
- Preparing and processing death certificates
- Arranging and processing referrals for Ultrasound (U/S), MRI, CT and DVT investigations
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient referrals and clinical documentation
