About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer / Responsible Weld Coordinator to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in our welding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to address any quality issues that arise during the manufacturing process, ensuring a seamless workflow and effective problem resolution.
Your key responsibilities will include performing weld inspections and audits, analyzing welding data and documentation, and maintaining accurate records of quality metrics. You will also coordinate training sessions for production staff on best practices in welding techniques and quality assurance processes. Additionally, you will liaise with suppliers to ensure that all materials meet specified quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in engineering or a related field, along with relevant experience in quality assurance and welding processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential. Familiarity with welding standards such as AWS or ISO is highly desirable.
