Buyer (FMCG)

Buyer, North Down, £40k – £45k + benefits

We are working with a leading NI owned & operated FMCG producer who supply across the UK & Ireland to recruit their new permanent Buyer.

Joining a busy procurement team you will be working on the procurement and purchasing of raw materials, ensuring quality, cost & supply needs are consistently achieved. This will include;

• Procure fresh produce and raw materials for production
• Manage supplier queries, pricing, terms, quality and supply issues
• Support QA/Goods-In with POs, traceability, stock rotation and records
• Maintain accurate pricing, procurement, supplier and delivery data
• Secure back-up supply and source new materials as required
• Monitor markets, seasonality, pricing and consumer trends
• Assist with customs clearance and resolve system issues
• Recommend improvements to procurement processes

What we are looking for…

• Purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience
• Sound level of IT skills to include procurement software
• Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable as would be customs clearance experience
• Strong communication skills
