About the Role
A number of secondary schools across Dudley are working with Zest Education to recruit enthusiastic English Teachers for short-term or long-term opportunities starting in September 2026.
These schools are known for their supportive staff cultures and commitment to high-quality teaching, providing excellent environments for teachers to inspire students and further develop their experience. The roles would suit passionate educators who are confident delivering engaging English lessons, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and helping students achieve their full potential.
You Will:
- Plan and deliver high‑quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Create an engaging and well‑structured classroom environment
- Assess student progress through classwork, assignments, and tests
- Provide constructive feedback and personalised support
- Maintain strong classroom management and consistent behaviour expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS or QTLS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach KS3–KS4 confidently (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Effective lesson planning, delivery, and marking skills
Planning and marking apply only to short‑term or long‑term placements.
