About the Role
Schools across Stourbridge are seeking Science Teachers for both long-term and short-term opportunities.
Zest Education is currently working with a number of secondary schools across the Stourbridge area that are looking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teachers for a variety of long-term and short-term positions starting from September 2026.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach the Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with some roles potentially offering the chance to teach a specialist subject at KS5.
The schools we work with are known for their supportive and inclusive environments, strong behaviour expectations, and commitment to staff development. Science departments are typically well-resourced and foster a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.

You Will
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess pupil progress using a variety of methods
- Provide constructive feedback and targeted support
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and engagement
What We’re Looking For
- PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS
- A degree in a science‑related discipline
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
- Experience teaching KS3–KS4 Science (KS5 desirable)
- Good behaviour management and confident classroom presence
- Ability to plan, deliver and (where required) mark high‑quality lessons
