About the Role

Zest Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Sports Coach to support a secondary school in Stourbridge on an ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inspiring young people through physical activity and sport, and who is keen to gain valuable school‑based experience while making a positive impact within a school community.

The school is looking for a confident, reliable and proactive Sports Coach to support PE lessons and contribute to the wider sporting life of the school. With an immediate start available, this role would suit someone looking for consistent work within a supportive secondary school environment.

Responsibilities

As a Sports Coach, you will:

• Deliver fun, inclusive and engaging PE sessions for KS3 and KS4 pupils
• Lead small groups and full class activities with confidence
• Support PE staff with lesson delivery, equipment setup and assessments
• Encourage teamwork, participation and positive behaviour
• Assist with extracurricular clubs where required
• Promote a safe and encouraging environment where students can succeed

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants with:

• Experience in Sports Coaching, PE, youth work, or a related setting
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• A relevant coaching qualification (Level 2 desirable)
• Previous experience working with children or young people
• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
