People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver, HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, ADR Driver, Tanker Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Commercial Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
 • Night out duties required

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver, your duties will include:

 • Transporting ADR goods using tanker and curtain-sided vehicles
 • Completing trunk runs between depots and customer sites
 • Driving and operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently
 • Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections before and after each shift
 • Ensuring all loads are safe, secure and compliant
 • Completing delivery paperwork accurately
 • Following Driver Hours Regulations, ADR requirements and all road traffic legislation
 • Communicating professionally with transport teams and customers
 • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
 • Minimum of 12 months’ Class 1 driving experience
 • Valid Driver CPC Card
 • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
 • Valid ADR Certificate
 • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
 • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
 • Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach
 • Good understanding of UK road transport and ADR regulations

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
 • Previous ADR driving experience
 • Previous tanker driving experience
 • Previous trunking or regional logistics experience

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
