We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen operations at this impressive 4-star hotel in Berwick-upon-Tweed. The property features a 27-bedroom hotel, a 1 AA Rosette restaurant, bar and room service operation, alongside a busy events calendar with weddings and functions throughout the year. As Executive Head Chef, you will work closely with the Group Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, leading and developing a strong team consisting of a Head Chef and five additional chefs. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the venue, delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and an efficient service while supporting the continued success and reputation of the property.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

• Leading and motivating the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards across all food outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service and events.
• Working closely with the Group Executive Chef to develop menus, improve standards and drive the continued success of the food operation.
• Overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food quality, service delivery, health & safety, and kitchen compliance.
• Managing, training and developing the kitchen team to create a positive and high-performing working environment.
• Ensuring effective cost control through menu engineering, stock management, purchasing and minimising waste.
• Maintaining and enhancing the property’s reputation by delivering exceptional food experiences for guests, weddings and events.
