Metal Polisher - Nights

 Jackson Hogg is recruiting for an experienced Metal Polisher/Fettler to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in deburring, fettling, grinding, polishing, and finishing metal components to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Deburr metal components using files, scrapers, and rotary tools
• Remove sharp edges and prepare parts for final inspection
• Grind and polish components to engineering drawing requirements
• Use air tools and hand tools to achieve high-quality surface finishes
• Carry out light polishing of steel and aluminium components
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Work in line with quality, safety, and environmental procedures
• Support continuous improvement activities across the workshop

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Metal Polisher, Fettler, Deburrer, Grinder, or Finisher
• Ability to read and follow work lists, instructions, and drawings
• Experience using hand tools, air tools, and inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Able to carry out repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods
• Flexible to work overtime when required
