MATERIALS PLANNER / BUYER – Tameside

Fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. Our established client have a rare vacancy, due to retirement, managing procurement, material availability, and inventory control using MRP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement: Source materials, negotiate commercial terms, and manage purchase orders.
• Supplier Management: Build strong supplier relationships and track performance metrics.
• Inventory Control: Optimise stock levels, manage shortages, and coordinate production kits.
• Collaboration: Interface with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in materials planning and buying.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient with MRP systems.
