Country Manager – Tanzania

Overview

We are partnering with a fast-growing international iGaming operator to appoint a Country Manager for Tanzania.

The business is already active in the market and generating revenue (~€100k/month), with a clear objective to scale 5x within the next 12 months.

This role is focused on driving growth, improving execution, and building a high-performing local operation.

Location: Tanzania (must be based locally or willing to relocate)
Industry: iGaming (Online Casino Focus)

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Performance

• Own and drive player acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
• Identify and scale high-performing acquisition channels
• Optimise conversion funnels and player lifecycle (CRM)
• Improve retention, engagement, and monetisation strategies

Market Strategy & Execution

• Define and execute the local growth strategy
• Analyse performance data to identify gaps and opportunities
• Continuously test and optimise marketing and product performance
• Ensure strong localisation of product, campaigns, and communication

Team Leadership

• Build and manage a lean, high-performing local team
• Establish structure, accountability, and performance tracking
• Work closely with central teams (marketing, CRM, product)

Operational Ownership

• Take ownership of the local office and team environment
• Oversee execution quality across marketing, support, and operations
• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the business

What This Role Is NOT

• Not finance-led (P&L handled centrally)
• Not compliance/legal-heavy (handled by central teams)

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

• Strong experience in iGaming / betting industry
• Experience in Tanzania market (critical)
• Proven track record of growing a market, product, or revenue line
• Background in marketing, CRM, or commercial leadership

Key Skills

• Deep understanding of player behaviour in Tanzania
• Strong knowledge of acquisition channels + retention strategies
• Data-driven approach to decision-making
• Hands-on operator with startup / scale-up mindset

Preferred

• Experience launching or scaling an online-first product
• Strong local network (affiliates, partners, industry contacts)
• Understanding of casino + sportsbook dynamics
