We are currently looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Bolton starting this September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity running 5 days a week throughout the academic year.

In this role, you will work closely with pupils who require additional educational, physical, or social-emotional support. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs (such as Autism/ASC, ADHD, SEMH, or Moderate Learning Difficulties).
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.
• Help maintain a calm, positive classroom atmosphere using proactive behavior strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and active engagement in lessons.
• Assist with outdoor play, lunch duties, and practical classroom activities as needed.

• Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school, care, youth work, or residential setting) is desirable.
• Patient, resilient, empathetic, and adaptable with a strong "can-do" mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
