About the Role
Are you a passionate, patient, and dedicated individual looking to make a genuine difference in children's lives?
We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton starting this September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity running 5 days a week throughout the academic year.
In this role, you will work closely with class teachers to support primary pupils across the curriculum. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment that empowers young learners to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support in core subjects like reading, writing, and mathematics.
Work closely with class teachers to prepare learning materials and deliver engaging primary lessons.
Help maintain a calm, positive classroom atmosphere using proactive behavior strategies.
Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and active engagement in group activities.
Assist with outdoor play, lunch duties, and practical classroom activities as needed.
Who We Are Looking For
Prior experience working with primary aged children (in a school, nursery, care, or youth setting) is desirable.
Patient, resilient, empathetic, and adaptable with a strong "can-do" mindset.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with young pupils, teachers, and parents.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
