Are you an experienced, detail-oriented TIG Welder to join an active, safety-focused manufacturing team in Banbridge (BT32 3QD). This opportunity offers a contract with a strong possibility of going permanent for high performers!

• Job Title: TIG Welder

• Location: Banbridge (BT32 3QD)

• Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

• Contract Duration: Temporary - with high possibility of going Permanent

• Working Hours: ~39 hours per week

  • Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00

  • Friday: 07:00 - 15:00 (Enjoy an early start to your weekend!)

• Overtime: Potential overtime available

• Holidays: 30 days per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

• Background Check: Basic DBS check required

• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

• Perform high-quality, precise TIG welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with engineering/blueprint drawings and company procedures.

• Fabricate pipework sections using black iron and stainless steel to the highest quality standards.

• Prepare weld surfaces, manage welding equipment/consumables, and conduct thorough pre- and post-weld visual quality checks.

• Undergo on-site practical weld testing to qualify to specific company procedures.

• Safely operate hand and power tools common to the fabrication and welding trade.

• Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, ensuring correct PPE and extraction equipment are used at all times.

• Maintain high standards of workplace cleanliness, housekeeping, and continuous operational improvement.

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on TIG welding and pipework fabrication experience.

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and work on your own initiative.

• Materials: Competent in welding/fabricating with black iron and stainless-steel pipe.

• Practical Testing: Ability to pass an on-site practical weld test.

• Vetting: Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check.

• Attributes: High attention to detail, excellent work ethic, and a commitment to safe working habits.
