They are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure components and assemblies meet the demanding standards required for mission-critical maritime programmes.What you’ll be doing
Managing supplier quality performance from qualification and product introduction through to manufacture and delivery.Conducting supplier audits, inspections and quality reviews.Investigating non-conformances and leading root-cause and corrective-action activity.Working with suppliers and internal engineering, procurement and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues.Supporting supplier development and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
Experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer.Strong supplier auditing, non-conformance and corrective-action experience.Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa and CAPA.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Experience within defence, maritime, aerospace or another regulated engineering environment would be advantageous.Exposure to composites, welding or IPC-controlled electronic assemblies is particularly desirable. Experience of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, First Article Inspection, ISO 9001 or AS9100 would also be beneficial.A relevant engineering, manufacturing or quality qualification-or equivalent industry experience-is required.
