Press Brake Setter/Operator

NG7 2TR, Wilford, Nottingham ASHTON REED RECRUITMENT LIMITED About the Role Laser Expertise is looking for an experienced Press Brake Setter to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently set and operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce high-quality folded components to tight tolerances. Working within a busy fabrication environment, you will be responsible for setting machines, bending a variety of materials and ensuring all work meets the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Set and operate CNC press brake machines safely and efficiently. * Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each job. * Produce high-quality folded and bent components to specification. * Carry out first-off inspections and regular quality checks during production. * Measure components using engineering measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges. * Adjust machine settings where required to maintain quality and accuracy. * Work to production schedules and achieve agreed output targets. * Identify quality issues and report any machine faults or production concerns. * Ensure work areas remain clean, organised and safe. * Follow all company health & safety procedures. * Support colleagues and assist with other fabrication duties where required. Skills & Experience Essential * Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter / Operator. * Experience setting and operating CNC press brakes. * Confident carrying out bending operations on a range of materials and thicknesses. * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. * Experience selecting tooling and programming or adjusting machine settings. * Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances. * Good understanding of fabrication processes. * Excellent attention to detail. * Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable * Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar press brake machinery. * Counterbalance Forklift Licence. * Crane or lifting equipment experience. * Fabrication or sheet metal background
