Job TitleCommercial ManagerSummaryWe’re recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager to support a high-profile programme in Glasgow within the nuclear and defence sector. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly regulated environment, with proven expertise in NEC4 contracts and stakeholder engagement.This role requires eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance, you must be a British Born UK nationalSalary£70–£87 per hour (Umbrella) or PAYE equivalent, INSIDE IR35 via NRLLocation and Working PatternGlasgow – Hybrid workingThe role requires a minimum of 3 days per week on-site, with possibility of this going up to 5 days when project needs demand.Client OverviewOur client is a key organisation within the UK nuclear and defence sector, delivering complex engineering projects of national importance under strict regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesLead commercial delivery on NEC4 contracts across professional services scopesManage commercial governance and reporting processes in compliance with client proceduresOversee and negotiate compensation events and early warnings to minimise project riskProvide commercial leadership and guidance to internal and external stakeholdersEnsure accurate contract administration, including cost forecasting and Defined Cost mechanismsSupport senior management in strategic decision-making related to contract performanceDrive compliance and risk management across all commercial activitiesMust-have RequirementsExtensive experience with NEC4 contracts, ideally with the Professional Services Contract (PSC)Demonstrable track record managing compensation events, early warnings, and Defined Cost mechanismsStrong commercial leadership background within infrastructure, engineering, nuclear or defence sectorsAbility to attend site in Glasgow a minimum of 3 days per weekNice-to-have SkillsExperience mentoring or developing junior commercial staffFamiliarity with cost management software or tools used on large engineering projectsApply NowIf you meet the above criteria and want to join a major programme in the nuclear/defence sector, apply today to register your interest and secure this rewarding opportunity.The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
