About the role
Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturers based in Burnley, Lancashire. This role is initially for 6 months, although highly likely to be temporary to permanentCNC Machinist role:To manufacture, machine, trim, rout, and finish composite and metallic aerospace components to the highest standards of quality, safety, and delivery performance. The role combines CNC machining expertise with skilled hand routing operations, ensuring components meet engineering specifications and customer requirements within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.Shift details - NIGHTS OR EARLIES/BACK SHIFT rotatedNight Shift £25.61 PAYE plus £3.72 holiday pay per hour (£29.33) / £34.04 UmbrellaEarly and Back shift rotated weekly 6-2/2-10 Shift £23.94 PAYE plus £3.48 holiday pay per hour (27.42) / £31.82 UmbrellaOperate CNC machining centres to manufacture and finish aerospace components in accordance with engineering specifications. Perform hand routing, trimming, drilling, sanding, and finishing operations on composite and metallic components. Work with materials including, Carbon Fibre Composites, Aluminium, Steel and Titanium Set up, adjust, and operate machining equipment, tooling, fixtures, and templates. Select appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes. Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance activities.ExperienceTime-served apprenticeship in machining, engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline. Proven experience operating CNC machining equipment within a manufacturing environment. Experience using hand routing, trimming, drilling, and finishing tools. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions. Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards.Should this role be of interest please apply.
