School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our educational facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including daily cleaning, grounds maintenance, and minor repairs. This role is critical in providing a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Duties will include sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, and restrooms, as well as managing waste disposal and recycling efforts. You will also be responsible for setting up and breaking down facilities for events, ensuring that all areas are prepared and safe for use.

In addition to cleaning and maintenance tasks, the School Caretaker will conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify any necessary repairs or safety concerns. You will work closely with school administration to coordinate maintenance schedules and address any urgent issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. A flexible approach to work hours is essential, as some duties may require evening or weekend hours to accommodate school events. Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role is preferred, along with a basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
