Are you a Chartered Building Surveyor looking for greater variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work on projects that genuinely make a difference to communities across the South West?
A highly regarded property consultancy is seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join its established Exeter team. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary group of property professionals, you'll be involved in a diverse portfolio of projects across public and private sector estates, encompassing everything from historic buildings and schools to commercial properties and residential assets.
The Role
This is a varied position combining both professional and project work, including:
- Technical due diligence and building surveys.
- Defect diagnosis, condition surveys and dilapidations.
- Preparing specifications, drawings and contract documentation.
- Managing refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects.
- Providing expert advice on building condition, compliance and asset management.
- Conducting stakeholder meetings and presenting recommendations to clients.
- Leading quality assurance and ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements.
- MRICS qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience within Building Surveying consultancy or property services.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction legislation.
- Experience delivering refurbishment and maintenance projects.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider professional team.
- Diverse range of projects across historic, educational, commercial and residential buildings.
