Whether you prefer the adaptability of daily supply cover or the consistency of long-term assignments, this role offers a professional environment to utilise your expertise.

• Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

• Cover Support: Provide general cover across diverse subject areas as needed to ensure continuity of school operations.

• Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused, supportive, and safe learning environment.

• Planning & Assessment: For long-term placements, assume full responsibility for lesson planning, marking, and monitoring student progress.

• Teaching Status: Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.

• Subject Expertise: Specialist knowledge of the UK English curriculum.

• Professional Standards: A strong commitment to maintaining high professional standards within the classroom.

• Safeguarding: Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one).

• Competitive Pay: Daily rates of £130-£160 for supply, with potential for main/upper pay scale (MPS/UPS) for long-term roles.

• Flexibility: Flexible scheduling options to support a healthy work-life balance.

• Local Placements: Regular work opportunities within secondary schools throughout Torbay, Paignton, Brixham, Newton Abbot, and the surrounding regions.
