Are you a qualified English educator seeking a professional opportunity that offers both flexibility and career stability? We are currently facilitating placements for dedicated English Teachers to support secondary schools across Torbay and the surrounding areas. Whether you prefer the adaptability of daily supply cover or the consistency of long-term assignments, this role offers a professional environment to utilise your expertise.
Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
Cover Support: Provide general cover across diverse subject areas as needed to ensure continuity of school operations.
Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused, supportive, and safe learning environment.
Planning & Assessment: For long-term placements, assume full responsibility for lesson planning, marking, and monitoring student progress.
Qualifications
Teaching Status: Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
Subject Expertise: Specialist knowledge of the UK English curriculum.
Professional Standards: A strong commitment to maintaining high professional standards within the classroom.
Safeguarding: Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one).

Competitive Pay: Daily rates of £130-£160 for supply, with potential for main/upper pay scale (MPS/UPS) for long-term roles.
