Job Title: Chartered Residential Valuer / Senior Valuer (MRICS)Location: Stirling, Central Scotland (Hybrid: Minimum 2 days per week in the office)Salary & Package: £47,924 - £49,366 (Valuer) / £55,607 - £57,286 (Senior Valuer) + LGPS PensionContract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with a strong likelihood of extension)Working Pattern: Exceptional Flexi-Time (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM bandwidth) The Role:Are you an MRICS-qualified Residential Valuer looking to play a pivotal role in shaping Scotland's property landscape, whilst securing an exceptional work-life balance? We are partnering with a prominent Public Sector body to find Chartered Valuers and Senior Valuers for a landmark valuation initiative which is part of a wider national campaign. This is a fully funded 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension as the legislative roll-out continues. Whether you are an established valuer seeking a high-profile public sector project, or a senior specialist looking for top-tier flexible working conditions, this is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise to a premium high value property portfolio.Your responsibilities will include:
  • High-Value Valuations: Conducting up-to-date valuations and detailed surveys for premium residential properties across Central Scotland under current regulations.
  • Strategic Analysis: Analysing sales data, market trends, and evidence to establish highly accurate valuation schemes for predominantly Council Tax Bands I and J.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working professionally alongside local authorities, taxpayers, and professional agents.
  • Senior Leadership (If applying at Senior level): Leading and reviewing complex residential valuations, providing technical guidance to your team members, and autonomously handling high-level proposals and appeal casework.

  • True Flexi-Time: A generous flexi-time scheme allowing you to balance your hours seamlessly between an 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM bandwidth around operational needs.
  • Hybrid Working: You only need to be in the Stirling office a minimum of 2 days per week, offering fantastic flexibility for focused work at home. (Note: Candidates based further afield are highly encouraged to apply, provided the travel requirements are met).
  • Exceptional Time Off: 35 days of total paid leave per year (25 days annual leave + 10 public holidays).
  • Security: Direct fixed-term payroll placement with full enrolment into the highly sought-after Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
Essential Requirements:
  • MRICS Qualification: Professional Membership (or Fellowship) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is strictly required.
  • Regulatory Expertise: You must possess proven, up-to-date experience in executing valuations within the latest regulatory frameworks.
  • Mobility: You must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, and be able to commit to the 2-day-a-week hybrid schedule in Stirling.
Desirable Requirements:
  • A strong, proven background operating as a Residential Valuer.
  • Hands-on experience preparing Home Reports and undertaking Mortgage Lending surveys.
  • Prior knowledge or experience working within local government, Assessor's services, or rating/council tax valuation.
