Join the D. E. Shaw group’s Investor Relations team for a ten-week summer internship in London. You will work alongside a global team responsible for developing relationships with current and prospective investors, gaining insight into the firm’s investment strategies, products and clients. The Role

The Investor Relations team plays a pivotal role in managing relationships with current and prospective investors. As an intern, you will collaborate with a global team of investor relations professionals while learning about the firm’s investment strategies, products and clients.

You will take on projects requiring rigorous analytical thinking and creative problem-solving. Your responsibilities may include:

• Helping to enhance investor and prospect communications
• Conducting research focused on prospective and existing investors
• Participating in brainstorming sessions with colleagues
• Attending meetings with investors
• Supporting projects that require structured analysis and close attention to detail

This is a ten-week programme expected to run from June to August 2027.

Requirements

The firm is looking for candidates who have:

• An impressive academic record, intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A structured approach to solving problems and progressing projects
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A client-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• An interest in learning more about corporate strategy, capital markets or the economy
• Current enrolment in a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree programme in any subject

Experience gained through clubs or internships in consulting, venture capital, economic research, product management or strategy would be useful but is not required. Previous finance experience is also not necessary.
