About the role
THE OPPORTUNITY – FINANCE, COST & REPORTING ANALYST
Performs high quality financial analysis to support delivery of the business’s finance objectives and in doing so aids commercialisation of Spirit’s portfolio of energy transition opportunities, including the MNZ carbon storage project in collaboration with Peak Cluster, formation of an integrated CO2 shipping hub on Merseyside and/or at Port of Barrow, and the Barrow Energy Park development.

Duration: 1 year contract
Contract Type: PAYE
Day Rate: TBC - For your application to be progressed, please ensure you provide a PAYE day rate banding expectation.

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role, you will be required to:
- Produce financial forecasts including annual budget and project phase estimates.
- Work closely with budget holders and contract owners, produce accurate spend. forecasts and project phase estimates to enable timely reporting on a rolling basis.
- Support payroll activities.
- Support funding requests including Shareholder AFE approvals/ project gates, grant processes, and Government led processes.
- Support corporate governance processes including risk management and governance processes such as Board meetings.
- Deputise for the Finance Manager and provide finance insights to the business.
- Any other associated duties as reasonably required.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- Experience in: Project cost control, Cash flow and liquidity management, Accounting and financial reporting, Funding, financing & grants, Finance systems
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline
- Accountancy or financial qualifications, e.g. chartered accountant or chartered financial analyst
