Job TitleEnvironmental Specialist
SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to join on a part-time basis, supporting environmental compliance and reporting at Seascale, Cumbria. This role is ideal for a qualified professional seeking flexible hours while applying their expertise in environmental legislation, sustainability and waste management practices. You’ll play a key role in ensuring standards are upheld and performance continually improves.
Location and Working PatternSeascale, CumbriaPart-time – 3 days per month

Responsibilities
Prepare and submit monthly environmental performance reports
Produce and maintain waste management reports, including compliance records
Monitor environmental performance and identify continual improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate environmental records and documentation
Provide environmental advice and support to operational teams as required
Assist with environmental audits and inspections
Identify and report environmental risks, recommending corrective actions
Support the implementation of environmental management initiatives and best practices
Must-have Requirements
Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline
Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and waste management practices
Proven experience preparing environmental and waste reports
Excellent analytical, organisational and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
