Shot Blaster

BNSI is working with a leading manufacturing site in Mallusk to recruit an experienced Shot Blaster, within the powder coating department.

This is a role within an existing team and requires experience to be able to hit the ground running.

We are the only fully comprehensive service in the country offering a one-stop-shop for galvanizing, powder coating, thermal breaking and shot blasting services all under one roof.

Due to continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join a successful growing team at our Mallusk site as a Process Operative within our powder coating department.

Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Prepare surfaces for galvanising & powder coating.
Operate blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain and clean blasting tools and machinery.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure quality standards are met during surface preparation

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience in a similar role
Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.
Ability to work safely following health and safety regulations.
Good communication skills and team working skills

Hours of shift

The company has a rotation of shifts in operation.

Day shift              07:00 – 15:30 (Mon-Thurs)  07:00-14:30 (Fri) 39 hours

All shifts include a 15-minute paid tea break and 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

The successful candidate should bear in mind the requirement to move to a rotational shift pattern in the future may be required and as such full flexibility is

Pay rate: £13.75 starting rate .  Increases as skills earned.
