Senior Data EngineerAWS Lakehouse Python SQL Betting / GamblingYou must be able to start on September 1st 2026!Location: Hybrid (Manchester) Office - 2-4 times per monthPermanent RoleSalary: £65,000 - £85,000Morson Edge are exclusively supporting a leading UK consultancy on a critical AWS Lakehouse transformation that needs experienced engineers to get it back on track.As part of this programme, were looking for experienced Senior Data Engineers to join a highly technical delivery team working alongside a Lead Data Architect.This isnt a greenfield build, its a genuine engineering challenge where youll influence architecture, modernise data pipelines and help deliver a production-ready AWS data platform.What Youll Be Doing:Designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines across the AWS ecosystem.Driving the migration towards a modern Lakehouse architecture.Identifying and resolving technical debt within existing data pipelines.Working closely with engineering teams to improve delivery standards and share best practices.Supporting platform stabilisation and helping deliver key programme milestones.Collaborating with the Lead Data Architect to implement the target-state data platform.What Were Looking For:Were looking for engineers who have experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and enjoy solving complex technical challenges.Youll must have:Strong commercial experience with AWS data technologies including S3, Glue, Redshift and Lake Formation.Experience designing or implementing Lakehouse architectures.Excellent Python and SQL development skills.Experience working with large-scale, high-volume or regulated data environments.Previous experience within the betting, gambling or iGaming industry is essential.Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively alongside client engineering teams.If youre an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong AWS background and previous betting or gaming industry experience, wed love to hear from you.Apply today or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
