About the role
We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and detail-oriented Data Assistant to support the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality data services across Place Partnership. Working as part of our Data Shared Services function, the successful candidate will play an important operational role in maintaining the accuracy of pupil and curriculum data, supporting academies with routine data processes, and assisting with statutory returns and reporting activities.
The role requires excellent administrative and organisational skills, alongside confidence working with data and IT systems. Based at Sir Thomas Wharton academy, working collaboratively across the Trust, the Data Assistant will support a range of operational data services, including data collection and validation, admissions and enrolment processes, statutory returns, routine reporting, and academy support requests. Working closely with the Trust Data Lead and wider Data Shared Services Team, they will help maintain accurate and reliable information, escalating service desk requests where necessary and contributing to a high-quality service for academies.
The successful candidate will be proactive, conscientious and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy. They will be confident working with data, resolving routine issues, and building positive relationships with academy colleagues. With a strong focus on customer service, organisation and attention to detail, they will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of the Trust's data services.
The successful candidate will be:
- Experienced in data entry, administration or a similar role.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and confident working with data and digital systems.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An effective communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues across academies and central teams.
- Accurate and methodical in their approach to handling and validating data.
- Calm and adaptable, with the ability to remain organised and effective during busy periods.
- Professional, reliable and able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Proactive and willing to learn new systems and processes.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and contributing to shared objectives.
