Job Title: Mechanical Fitter - Rail Rolling Stock Location: Crewe Contract: Long-Term Contract Hours: DaysWe are currently recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join a leading client within the rail rolling stock industry based in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract with a well-established organisation, offering ongoing work beyond 2026.The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical fitting, maintenance, overhaul, and refurbishment work on rail rolling stock. You will be working as part of a skilled team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Candidate Requirements We are looking for candidates with: - NVQ Level 3 in a relevant mechanical discipline (preferred). - NVQ Level 2 candidates with strong, relevant mechanical experience will also be considered. - Experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance, or overhaul. - Transferable skills from industries such as rail, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, heavy engineering, defence, plant, or similar sectors are welcomed. - A strong focus on health and safety, quality, and teamwork.Working Hours - Dayshift hours: 07:55 - 16:35 (Friday is a half-day).If you are a skilled Mechanical Fitter, or have transferable mechanical engineering experience and are looking for a long-term opportunity within the rail industry, wed love to hear from you.
