Senior Visual Designer - Performance Marketing Agency

An established and fast-growing performance led marketing agency is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to join its creative team. The agency partners with ambitious brands across sectors including consumer apps, ecommerce, fin tech & gaming plus some B2B delivering integrated growth solutions across strategy, media, and creative.   Design is central to the agency’s offering, spanning paid media, landing pages, brand systems, campaigns, and pitch work. This role is ideal for a highly skilled designer looking to elevate creative output, contribute to scalable design systems, and mentor junior talent in a fast-paced environment. The Role The Senior Visual Designer will be a hands-on creative, responsible for delivering high-quality design across a wide range of outputs. The role involves working across brand identity, campaign creative, performance marketing assets, landing pages, and presentations. Reporting into senior creative leadership, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including strategists, copywriters, and production, while also contributing to the evolution of design processes and standards. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Design Craft & Execution

• Deliver high-quality design across digital, brand, and campaign outputs
• Apply strong fundamentals in typography, layout, colour, and hierarchy
• Bring a clear visual perspective to briefs, elevating creative beyond the expected
• Manage high-volume output while maintaining attention to detail

Art Direction & Visual Systems

• Develop scalable visual systems, brand identities, and design frameworks
• Support production across shoots and motion projects where required
• Create mood boards, style guides, and visual direction for internal and external teams

Performance & Platform Awareness

• Produce effective creative for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
• Understand the nuances between brand-led and performance-led design
• Stay informed on visual trends and platform best practices

Collaboration & Leadership

• Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to junior designers
• Collaborate with creative and strategic teams to deliver cohesive outputs
• Contribute to improving workflows, templates, and design systems

Client & Commercial Contribution

• Present creative work clearly and confidently to stakeholders
• Support new business initiatives through high-quality pitch materials

Candidate Profile

• 5–7 years’ experience in design or art direction, ideally within an agency environment
• Strong portfolio demonstrating craft, versatility, and conceptual thinking
• Advanced understanding of design fundamentals (typography, composition, colour, systems)
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Working knowledge of motion tools such as After Effects or Premiere Pro
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Confident communicator, able to present and justify creative decisions
• Demonstrated interest in emerging design trends, tools, and AI

Desirable Skills

• Experience producing paid social content at scale
• Strong motion or animation capability
• Experience developing brand identities from inception
• Exposure to AI-driven creative workflows
