Synergy Personnel Services, a specialist legal recruiter, is delighted to be working on behalf of a leading UK professional services firm with a strong national platform and an established reputation for advising high-net-worth individuals, landed estates and rural businesses.

This is a senior strategic hire within a growing Private Client practice, offering the opportunity to play a key role in developing and leading a Landed Estates.

The Opportunity

You will join a highly regarded Private Client team advising on complex landed estate matters. The practice supports a broad portfolio of estate owners, trustees and rural businesses, delivering long-term, relationship-driven advice focused on preserving wealth and land holdings for future generations.

This role offers genuine autonomy, a clear pathway to Partnership (if not already operating at that level), and the ability to shape and expand a regional offering within a well-resourced national firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising landed estate clients on a full spectrum of private client and rural matters, including:
  • Agricultural tenancies (AHA and FBTs)
  • Succession and estate structuring
  • Trusts, trustee advisory and administration
  • Inheritance tax planning, including APR/BPR strategies
  • Sales and acquisitions of rural property and estates
  • Heritage property matters and conditional exemptions
  • Sporting and manorial rights
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families and trustees
• Contributing to business development and growing the landed estates offering in the region
• Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team leadership

The Candidate

• Senior Associate or Partner with significant experience in Private Client / Landed Estates work
• Strong technical expertise across rural estates, tax, trusts and succession planning
• Commercially aware with a track record (or clear potential) in client development
• Able to operate autonomously while contributing to a collaborative national team
• Ideally with an existing network in the South Coast / wider regional market
