Assessment Accessibility Support Officer Internship - 7013

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assessment Accessibility Support Officer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist in ensuring that assessment materials are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing assessment content for accessibility compliance, providing recommendations for modifications, and collaborating with faculty members to create inclusive evaluation strategies. You will also assist in the development of training materials and resources aimed at enhancing awareness of accessibility practices within the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. A background in education, social sciences, or a related field is preferred, along with a genuine interest in promoting equity and accessibility in educational practices. Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), will be beneficial. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with assistive technologies will be advantageous.
