About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Cyber Defence Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information systems. Your key duties will include analyzing security alerts, investigating potential threats, and implementing necessary security measures to protect against data breaches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to our security posture.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. You should have experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, as well as familiarity with incident response processes. A background in network security, threat intelligence, and risk management is essential. Additionally, you should hold relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent qualifications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for success in this position. You will be expected to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats, contributing to the continuous improvement of our security protocols.
