School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated School Caretaker to join our team, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of the school premises, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas. Key duties include performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining grounds, and carrying out minor repairs to facilities and equipment. The caretaker will also oversee waste management, ensure proper functioning of heating and lighting systems, and report any major issues to the appropriate personnel.

In addition to cleaning and maintenance responsibilities, the School Caretaker will be responsible for opening and closing the school premises, ensuring security measures are in place, and assisting with the setup and takedown of events. A strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety. A valid driver's license and basic knowledge of health and safety regulations will be advantageous.
