About the role
Admin Officer
Location: Teesside Combined Court, Russell Street, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, TS1 2AE (Fully Office Based)
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £13.25 per hour thereafter
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (37 hours per week)
Contract Length: Temporary ongoing until 31/03/2027, with the possibility of extension
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to gain experience within the Public Sector? We are currently recruiting on behalf of HMCTS Teesside Combined Court for Full Time Temporary Admin Officers to join their busy team.
As an Admin Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the court, ensuring cases progress efficiently through the justice system while providing high-quality administrative support. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment, offering valuable experience within HMCTS.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare papers and files for court hearings, tribunals and meetings.
- Produce court documents and correspondence.
- Create, update and maintain accurate records on internal systems.
- Complete data entry and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Draft standard letters and legal documentation.
- Support Civil and Family Court hearings, tribunals and proceedings.
- Assist court users with queries and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage general administrative duties to support the effective running of the court.
- Handle information confidentially and in line with HMCTS procedures.
Requirements
- Previous administration experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads.
- Basic DBS clearance required, provided by Brook Street for successful applicants
Training
- Ongoing training provided throughout the assignment.
- Support and guidance available from experienced team members.
- Pre-booked annual leave can be accommodated where possible during training.
