Joiner

Thorn Baker Construction is currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a busy construction project in Exeter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and reliable Joiner to work with a reputable contractor on an ongoing project.

The Role

As a Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of first and second fix carpentry duties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Typical duties include:

• First and second fix joinery.
• Hanging doors and fitting frames.
• Installing skirting boards, architraves and stair components.
• Fitting kitchens and other timber fixtures where required.
• Reading and interpreting site drawings.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Working closely with other trades and site management.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent) preferred.
• Previous experience working as a Joiner on construction sites.
• Own tools and PPE.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety.
