Location: Greenville, SC, US (Onsite)Openings: 2Job Type: ContractDuration: 1 YearRate: $46-50/hour (W2) + BenefitsHours: 40 hours/week Project: Gas TurbinesThe Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for providing design liaison engineering (DLE) support to GVL manufacturing. This will be specifically centered on rotor & unit assembly areas.Responsibilities: Review, evaluate, & define solutions to manufacturing issues as they arise. The evaluation piece of this work will require analysis through hand calculations, CAD, FEA, &/or other internal tools used to evaluate deviant hardware. Will support DLE initiatives to drive defect reduction through improved engineering defintion & improved manufacturing processes. This scope of work can require support in revising engineering specifications & drawings. Conduct technical reviews to substantiate rework &/or acceptance critiera.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proficiency in CAD software. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
