Senior Technical Services EngineerLocation: Warton, LancashireContract Type: 12-Month ContractWorking Pattern: Full-Time 37 Hours per Week OnsiteRate: £34.89 per hour Umbrella / £25.99 per hour PAYEThe OpportunityMorson Edge is recruiting for a Senior Technical Services Engineer to join a leading aerospace and defence programme based in Warton.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Continuing Airworthiness or Technical Services Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing airworthiness, reliability, and regulatory compliance of a modern aircraft fleet. Working within a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), you'll provide technical leadership across maintenance planning, engineering support, reliability programmes, regulatory compliance, and technical investigations.You'll collaborate closely with maintenance teams, flight operations, OEMs, and regulatory authorities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft while driving continuous improvement across engineering processes.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the continuing airworthiness of the aircraft fleet in accordance with UK CAA regulationsReview Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and manufacturer publications for applicability and complianceEvaluate mandatory and recommended modifications, including cost-benefit analysisProvide technical support and guidance to Maintenance and Flight Operations teamsInvestigate technical defects, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actionsLiaise with OEMs, Part 145 maintenance organisations, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholdersSupport the development and optimisation of maintenance programmes and scheduled maintenance work packagesReview and close maintenance work orders, ensuring maintenance activities are accurately recordedMonitor aircraft reliability, identify trends, and recommend improvements to maintenance practicesProduce technical reports and present reliability data to key stakeholdersMaintain accurate continuing airworthiness records and technical documentationSupport internal and external regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with Part CAMO, Part M, and Part 145 requirementsParticipate in Safety Management System (SMS) activities, technical risk assessments, and incident investigationsLead or support engineering projects focused on fleet reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvementEssential Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience within a CAMO or Technical Services environmentStrong knowledge of UK CAA Continuing Airworthiness Regulations, including Part CAMO, Part M, and Part 145Experience supporting continuing airworthiness activities and technical records managementStrong analytical skills with the ability to investigate technical issues and perform root cause analysisGood understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and reliability programmesExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to compliance and documentationStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced engineering environmentProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsDesirable ExperienceExperience supporting Embraer 135/145 and/or Boeing 737 aircraftExperience of maintenance planning and defect managementKnowledge of regulatory audit processes and compliance activitiesExperience leading engineering projects or continuous improvement initiatives within an aviation environmentWhy Apply?Competitive hourly ratesLong-term 12-month contractFull-time onsite role with a 37-hour working weekOpportunity to work within a highly regulated aerospace engineering environmentTechnically challenging role with significant responsibility and influenceWork alongside experienced engineering professionals on a critical aviation programmeOpportunity to contribute to fleet safety, reliability, and operational excellenceIf you're an experienced Senior Technical Services Engineer, CAMO Engineer, Continuing Airworthiness Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
