About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and observant Store Detective to join our team in ensuring the safety and security of our retail environment. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for monitoring store activity, identifying potential theft or suspicious behavior, and preventing loss. Your keen eye for detail and ability to remain vigilant will play a key role in maintaining a safe shopping experience for our customers and safeguarding our assets. As a Store Detective, you will engage with customers and staff to create a welcoming atmosphere while enforcing store policies. You will be required to document incidents, prepare detailed reports, and provide testimony when necessary. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with law enforcement and assist in apprehending shoplifters when appropriate. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in retail security or loss prevention preferred. A strong understanding of retail operations, coupled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, will set you up for success in this role.
