Health & Safety Consultant | £38,500–£40,000 per annum | Permanent, Full Time | Staffordshire

Howard James Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Consultant on behalf of a growing and highly regarded consultancy. This varied role involves working with clients across construction, commercial and industrial environments, carrying out site inspections, advising on compliance, delivering training and helping organisations improve their health and safety performance.

Responsibilities include audits and workplace inspections, producing risk assessments, reviewing RAMS, advising on UK legislation and best practice, supporting management systems, investigating incidents, preparing action plans and delivering toolbox talks, training sessions and client presentations. The role involves travel to client sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.

Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, a good understanding of current UK legislation, excellent communication and report-writing skills, strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and a full UK driving licence. NEBOSH, Tech IOSH, CDM Regulations and Fire Safety experience are desirable.

The package includes 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, company pension, mileage paid at 55p per mile, and ongoing training and professional development.
