Located in north-east London, with central London just 15 minutes away via the Elizabeth Line, Redbridge offers the best of both worlds: vibrant urban communities, outstanding parks and open spaces, and excellent schools. Home to over 310,000 residents, we are proud to be one of London's most diverse boroughs and a UNICEF-recognised Child Friendly Borough, committed to putting children and young people at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to lead on planning policy and infrastructure delivery projects that will shape the borough's future. You will play a key role in delivering our ambitious growth agenda, including the preparation of the new Redbridge Local Plan, securing infrastructure investment and creating sustainable, inclusive communities.

Whether you are already operating at Team Leader level or are an ambitious Principal Planner, Senior Planner or Deputy Team Leader ready to take the next step in your career, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership experience whilst helping shape one of London's most exciting growth boroughs.

    About You

    You will bring:

    • A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification.
    • Significant experience in planning or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of planning policy, plan-making and infrastructure delivery.
    • Experience managing projects, consultants and partnerships.
    • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Understanding of local government finance and developer contributions.

    Why Redbridge?

Join a borough with ambition, purpose and opportunity. This is your chance to help shape a greener, more inclusive and child-friendly future for one of London's most exciting places, while developing your own leadership career in a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
