Characterisation Supervisor - MSSI

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Characterisation Supervisor to join our team at MSSI. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the characterisation processes of materials and products to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications. You will lead a team of technicians and scientists, providing guidance and support in the development and implementation of characterisation techniques. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data generated from testing methods, including spectrometry, chromatography, and microscopy.

Your key responsibilities will include coordinating and executing characterisation projects, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for training team members on advanced characterisation techniques and data analysis methods. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will interpret and communicate results, providing insights that will aid in product development and enhancement. Additionally, you will manage the characterisation laboratory's resources, including equipment maintenance and calibration, to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a characterisation or laboratory management role. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team are essential. Proficiency in data analysis software and a solid understanding of quality control processes will be highly advantageous.
