£300/325 p/d (Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Project Support Officer to support a large-scale public sector transformation programme.

This role combines project governance, financial management, reporting, and PMO support, working closely with delivery teams to ensure projects remain on track, within budget, and compliant with governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project finances, including budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Produce project reports, dashboards, and management information for stakeholders.
• Maintain RAID logs and support risk, issue, dependency, and change management.
• Support governance, audit, assurance, and compliance activities.
• Prepare board packs, meeting papers, agendas, and minutes.
• Coordinate project workshops, planning events, and stakeholder meetings.
• Support reporting through Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience in a Project Support Officer, PMO Analyst, or Project Coordinator role.
• Strong financial management and reporting skills.
• Experience supporting governance, audit, RAID, and project controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Desirable

• Agile delivery environment experience.
• Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence knowledge.
• Understanding of public sector digital transformation and governance frameworks(GDS).
